Accessible Information Policy (NHS)

The purpose of this policy is to make sure there is a consistent, accurate and clear approach to the provision of accessible information to patients, and members of the public. The policy is aimed at managers of staff involved in, or who have responsibility for the provision of information. Female Offenders Research Report

This document provides a summary of focus group research carried out with 3 groups of women offenders within prison and community settings. It explores women’s perceptions of offending, the violence they experience and their engagement with supports. Women’s views provide insight on how services could better meet their needs to support them to change their lives and desist from offending.

Guidance on Purchasing and Contracting of Care and Support Services

West Dunbartonshire Council is committed to managing its procurement activity to achieve the maximum efficiency, effectiveness, and achieve value for money in the acquisition of goods, services and works. This guidance has been developed in recognition that the procurement of care and support services requires particular consideration within a public body’s overall approach to the procurement of goods, works and services because of the significant impact that it has on the quality of life, health and well-being of service users and carers.

This third integrated Strategic Plan sets out the key actions prioritised for delivery over the course of 2013/14. Its focus reflects the requirements and expectations of the CHCP‟s "corporate parents": the West Dunbartonshire Council Strategic Plan 2012-17; and the NHSGGC Corporate Plan 2013-16.

This second integrated Strategic Plan sets out the key actions prioritised for delivery over the course of 2012/13. As previously, its focus reflects the requirements and expectations of the CHCP‟s "corporate parents". Its structure is a blend of the distinct formats required by both organisations. The development of this distinctive Plan has also been informed by analysis of local health and social care needs; on-going dialogue with local stakeholders; and other relevant sources of evidence - most notably the findings of the Audit Scotland Evaluation of Community Health Partnerships.

The first integrated Strategic Plan sets out the key actions prioritised for delivery over the course of 2011 - 2012.  Its content, focus and form reflect the priorities and requirements (including financial frameworks) of the CHCP’s "corporate parents": West Dunbartonshire Council, as set out within its Corporate Planning Guidance); and NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, as detailed within its Planning Guidance 2011/12).

This strategy aims to improve the co-ordination, integration and delivery of parenting programmes in West Dunbartonshire.

The Strategy will do this by setting out how West Dunbartonshire Community Planning Partnership – and most notably West Dunbartonshire Council and West Dunbartonshire Community Health & Care Partnership (on behalf of NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde) – will work to enable parents to raise healthy and achieving children and young people (i.e. those aged 18 years or less) through the provision of a comprehensive suite of parenting interventions.

Prostitution Guidelines

A Good Practice Resource for Organisations Working with Women in or Vulnerable to Involvement in Prostitution has been developed by the Women’s Support Service Criminal Justice Team. The resource is intended to give practitioners and service managers a starting point in thinking imaginatively and pro-actively about supporting women vulnerable to commercial sexual exploitation and in developing with women strategies to exit from prostitution by providing a framework for intervention. The resource highlights the harm to women and places prostitution within the Safer Lives: Changed Lives approach which provides leadership in recognising prostitution as violence against women.

This first integrated Workforce Plan has been designed to support the overall commitments expressed within the CHCP‟s Strategic Plan 2012/13 and the core values that fundamentally underpin the operations of the CHCP: quality, fairness, sustainability and openness.
